I Choose Indy!

Brian Fedje, and others, have written a lot of what I would have said about Indianapolis. I love it here, even though I live in Center Grove on the far south side.

I am concerned about the crime that’s been reported in the vicinity of Circle Centre Mall. Many of you have probably been at the entrance at Maryland and Illinois when the mall closes and have seen the stream of young people leaving. This many people in one place creates a feeling among them that they can commit random acts of violence and slip away unnoticed. Unfortunately, this is true.

How hard can it be to have IPD blanket the area at that time and for an hour or so afterwards?

It will not take too many incidents to turn away visitors and residents alike. A bad reputation can spread like wildfire and, suddenly, downtown becomes Indianoplace again.

Please, all of you, petition the IPD to do a better job downtown. Thanks.
