I can’t say enough great things about Indianapolis. When I was looking for a new position a year ago and was approached by an Indy based company my first reaction was to pass just based on my initial impression of the city. After convincing me to come for a visit I was very surprised by all the city had to offer.
However, it was still a tough call, we were faced with a great job in a so so location in Florida or a potentially so so job here in Indy. Well we took a chance because of all the city had to offer. While we’ll never regret making the move to Indy we unfortunately are now faced with (as we thought could happen) the dilemma of finding a new job or facing unemployment.
I certainly hope I can find a new position here in the city as we’ve all come to love living here more then any place we have been in the past. However, the job market here does not seem to hold the same opportunities as other cities.
I would say to anyone thinking of moving to the area this is really a first class city and great place to live. You’ll never regret coming, only leaving.

Bob - you and I have never met, but I did get a copy of your resume from Doug. Very impressive. I forwarded it to three friends who work in data / technology fields. They said they’d keep their eyese open for you.
I hope others who read this post will try their best to do the same. Be sure to let I Choose Indy know how it all shakes out.
Good luck!
