About Unseenpress
Unseenpress.com, Inc. is Indiana’s only paranormal book publishing house and ghost tour operator. It is also home to the official Historic Indiana Ghost Walks and Tours, which conducts year-round walking and tours in Central Indiana and Indianapolis.
As a seven year old business, owners Nicole and Michael Kobrowski have been compiling history and hauntings around Indiana (as well as giving tours in Indiana and abroad) much longer. They are also accomplished paranormal investigators, who use a broad scientific approach to investigation, which encompasses more than the empirical research that many investigators use.
Who we are and why we say yes to Indy
Nicole, Michael, their authors, and tour guides say a resounding “YES!” to Indy (and Indiana). Most people don’t stop and look around them. People become oblivious to the richness of life and history in their own back yards. When Nicole taught English in Germany, she fortunate to be able to uncover some of the treasures in her adopted home of Nuremberg. Her students would often reflect on some interesting tidbit of information that Nicole found interesting, but that they did not know, or had not considered in a certain way before. It is the same in Indy when people on tours talk about what they’ve seen in Indy.
Nicole grew up near Anderson, but has always considered Indy one of her homes. A graduate of St. Mary of the Woods, IUPUI and soon to be Ball State University, she enjoys not only the city feel of Indy but also the hometown warmness that comes with the capital city. History and education has been a large part of her life and Indianapolis fulfills that goal. In fact, part of her dissertation in Higher Education is focused on the life of one of Indy’s most famous Ghosts- Dr. Helene Elise Hermine Knabe.
Michael grew up in Nuremberg, Germany. Whisked into the IT world at 16, this technology guru made Indiana and the Indy area his home in 2000. He believes Indy is on its way to being a world class city with its arts and cultural districts, its many attractions and amenities and its willingness to change and grow with the demands of society.
Unseenpress complements Indy. The tour part of the business brings parts of Indianapolis to the attention of people- parts or even information that has never before been told or that has been forgotten with time. The books bring an extra dimension to promoting Indianapolis. Much more research can be done and presented in a book than on a two hour tour.
Unseenpress.com, Inc. chose Indy because it has the ultimate appeal. Big city looks, but easy enough to travel on foot. It’s safe and clean (not to mention full of ghosts!) and very family friendly. The history is phenomenal. The diversity in the people from families to couples to singles was very attractive as well. Additionally, ethnic diversity is becoming increasingly evident and Nicole and Michael think it is fantastic that Indianapolis (which was once extremely ethnically diverse) is becoming a melting pot of cultures, traditions and people.
More about the business of ghosts
In 2006, Unseenpress signed two new authors to write books for it and plan on releasing four books on the paranormal in 2007. The first book in the Haunted Backroads series, entitled (oddly enough), “Haunted Backroads: Central Indiana” was released in Oct 2006.
The tours take visitors to some familiar and some not so familiar haunts. Specializing in real paranormal stories based on scientific research, Unseenpress.com is dedicated to bringing unparalleled quality books, entertainment and paranormal research into mainstream thinking.
Leading the company, tours and investigations, Nicole and Michael are planning on hiring more guides for their tours. In 2007, they have planned some exciting haunted getaways around Indiana. Historic Indiana Ghost Walks and Tours will explode into other major Indiana cities as well.
Last thoughts about Indy
Indy is not perfect- far from it, but with business leaders and government working with the citizens of Indianapolis, we are confident that Indy will continue to change and grow for the better.
Until next time, happy hauntings!

There was a great article in Indianapolis Magazine as well. Congratulations on that!

Yes it was- I am glad you enjoyed it. We had a ball doing it for them. Doing Indy did a great job for us too. It’s been a great year of publicity for Indy and for us, too!
