In 2005 my husband Bob and I decided we wanted a change from Michigan and began looking for a new place to call home. We began our search with Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and Kentucky in mind. We began visiting each of these states learning more about the various areas and what they had to offer. We became discouraged in October of 2005 after leaving Florida and on the way home stopped by Indianapolis to visit Bob’s Dad. While here we began looking at the affordable housing and job opportunities that this city has to offer. It didn’t take us long to decide we wanted to put down roots here. This was a chance for Bob to live closer to his family.Big cities were not new for me. I had grown up in Detroit and had spent my life living in various areas of Michigan. Central Indianapolis is a little warmer than what I’m used to which is a plus to me and I’ve found the people to be helpful and friendly.
As soon as I moved here I applied for my real estate license. My previous work the last few years was that of a loan officer. What I enjoyed most was helping people achieve their dreams of homeownership. Now I could use this financial background as I helped people sell and or buy a new home.
Going through a relocation myself has helped me to better understand the concerns and challenges of moving somewhere new and unknown. Whether it is a far or short distance I can provide information that will help people to feel more confident about their move. I’m currently working with Carpenter Realtors at the Castleton Office.
I’m glad I found this blog site. I believe it’ll be a useful resource for people that live here as well as those considering a move.

I get a lot of realtors in my coffee shop talking with clients. I really appreciate the nudge by local agents showing the neighborhood local shops rather than just taking the easy way out and going to a chain place.
So, if you are ever in need of a place on the west side to meet with someone I hope you will find us
at Bjava Coffee and Tea.
