I’ve just heard the news that someone is giving away free money on the Circle next week (this was originally going to happen on Friday, 2-27). I don’t have all the details yet, but I do know earlier this week and last week it was a lifeguard on the Circle and a robot handing out $1 bills. This week, it’s a farmer with a cow somewhere downtown. I’m going to be Twittering details as I find them out. (www.twitter.com/edeckers)

There will be a farmer and cow handing out money today between 11 am and 1 pm at the corner of Washington and Meridian. Look for some photos later today on TwitterPic.

I saw these people on the corner of Washington/Meridian St. a couple weeks ago! A lifeguard and a robot hollering “free money” – now I feel silly that I gave them a wave and laugh and continued on to my office!!

We’re supposed to find out what the purpose is tomorrow. I’ve been hearing that they’re giving away money again on Friday near or on the Circle, so we’ll find out then.
@Karissa, what’s funny is that people today just looked at Johnny fun and walked on. I figured there would be a mob of people looking to get their free dollar, but they just looked at him like he was a weirdo and kept going. One guy I talked to even acted like it was too inconvenient to take some extra steps to collect his dollar.
